We built this because we needed it
Bull Terrier Buddy started with one dog, a recurring skin problem, and a pile of notes that never added up to an answer.
Every Bull Terrier owner knows the pattern. The skin flares up. You change the food. It settles, then comes back six weeks later and you cannot remember whether the last flare was before or after you switched. The vet asks when it started and you guess. Nobody is doing anything wrong, but nobody has the one thing that would actually help: a record.
That was the problem we set out to solve. Not a general pet app with a Bull Terrier filter on it, but something built around the specific things this breed puts owners through.
The question was always the same: why is this happening, and when does it happen? There was no good tool to answer it. Why Bull Terrier Buddy exists
Why breed-specific actually matters
Most pet apps are built for every breed and end up genuinely useful for none. That is not laziness, it is arithmetic: a Labrador and a Bull Terrier do not have the same problems, and an app that serves both ends up serving neither properly.
Bull Terriers come with a very particular set of risks. Hereditary deafness linked to the white coat. Kidney disease that stays silent until late. Atopic skin disease in a breed whose thin coat offers almost no barrier protection. Compulsive tail chasing with a documented heritable component and a median onset of six months. Those are not general dog problems. They need tracking built around them.

The guides are free, forever
No email sign-up. No paywall. No "enter your address to continue reading". If you are new to the breed, start with the puppy routine guide. If you are dealing with something specific, the full guides library covers skin, behaviour, weight, sleep, deafness and more.
The app pays for the app. The guides are how we are useful to owners who will never download it.
What we will not do
Some decisions are easier when you make them once, in advance.
No ads
Not banners, not interstitials, not sponsored food recommendations dressed up as advice.
No selling your data
Your dog's health record is stored on your device. It is nobody else's business, and it is not a product.
No dark patterns
The free tier is genuinely useful: one dog, standard features, no time limit. Premium exists if you want it and is never pushed at you.
No features for the sake of it
If something does not make a real difference to how you care for your dog, it does not go in. That is the test we apply to every decision.
